Books on wheels

We believe everyone should have access to our library items – even if you are housebound and can't make it in to us. That’s why we offer our Books On Wheels service, where you may qualify to borrow from our full range of items if you are temporarily or permanently unable to visit the library, or are a live-in carer.

These include:

  • Regular and large print and fiction/non-fiction books
  • Books on CD
  • DVDs
  • Magazines
  • Music CDs
  • Jigsaws

Delivery and collection day is every three weeks, on a Tuesday between 9am and 11am.

**Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update to Books on Wheels Service**

We are continuing to run our Books on Wheels service, now with contactless delivery where we deliver a bag of handpicked and cleaned library items to your doorstep every three weeks.
We are extending this service to vulnerable people including seniors over the age of 60 and people with disability who are City of Vincent residents.
If you or a loved one are eligible and would like to receive this service, please contact the library on libadmin@vincent.wa.gov.au or 9273 6090 to sign up or for further details.

The City of Vincent also offers a Meals on Wheels service to eligible residents through an arrangement with the City of Stirling Community Care ‘Community Food Services’ program. The cost of the service has dropped from $10 to $7 for a one course meal and from $11 to $8 for a two course meal for the duration of COVID-19, with the City of Vincent paying for $3.05 of each meal for eligible and registered residents.
For full details, see the City of Vincent website or contact Community Development Officer Kendra Koranis on Kendra.koranis@vincent.wa.gov.au or 9328 3098 / 9328 3879.
