Christmas at the City of Vincent Library: Unforgettable by Agelink Theatre

Past Event

‘Unforgettable’ takes audiences back to the romance and spirit of the '50's and the golden age of musical theatre.

This was a time when hit shows like My Fair Lady, West Side Story, Kiss Me Kate, Annie Get Your Gun, High Society and The King & I, not only entertained for an evening, but produced songs that remain classics to this day.

Legendary performers like Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett and Doris Day (not to mention Elvis) had some of their greatest hits in this decade.

In an energy packed hour, Agelink's dynamic cast revives these good times through song, dance and some interesting reminiscences from interviews with West Australian seniors.

A special Christmas morning tea will also be on offer.

About Agelink Theatre:

Agelink Theatre is dedicated to:

  • affirming the value of our seniors; their wisdom, their experience, their body of knowledge and their contribution to our society
  • bringing the generations together so that these stories can enrich the knowledge of the young
  • producing professional main stage and touring theatre that inspires, entertains and informs
  • engaging with communities through a creative process aimed at  elevating mood, combating depression, passing on new skills and increasing mental alertness.

They produce shows based on seniors’ memories garnered in interviews and reminiscence workshops; shows filled with stories, music, song and laughter; shows that travel into the community and can be performed anywhere including libraries, schools, senior centres – even in the corner of a room.
