We welcome back Annabel Smith for this 'Overcoming Self-Doubt & Procrastination' writing workshop.

This interactive workshop will delve deep into the thoughts and feelings that hold us back from achieving our potential as writers, such as self-doubt, fear of rejection/criticism, procrastination, perfectionism, lack or resilience/staying power

  • Understand the beliefs which hold you back from achieving your potential as a writer
  • Become familiar with strategies and frameworks for overcoming self-limiting beliefs and behaviours around writing
  • Practice with tools which will empower you to continue to build confidence and productivity on an ongoing basis 

About Annabel Smith:

Annabel is the author of US bestseller Whiskey & Charlie (published in Australia as Whisky Charlie Foxtrot), digital interactive novel/app The Ark, and A New Map of the Universe, which was shortlisted for the West Australian Premier’s Book Awards.

Her short fiction and non-fiction have been published in Southerly, Westerly, Kill Your Darlings and Review of Australian Fiction. 

She has been an invited guest, as panellist and chair, at Ubud Writers festival, Melbourne Writers Festival, Perth Writers Festival, Sydney Writers Festival, Australian Short Story Festival, Scribblers and regional festivals in Albany and Margaret River.

Annabel holds a PhD in Writing from Edith Cowan University, and is an Australia Council Creative Australia Fellow.

She teaches creative writing for the Australian Writers Centre, and regularly runs workshops at libraries and writers centres including Writers VIC and KSP Writers Centre.

She is currently working on Monkey See, an epic quest with a sci-fi twist featuring a monkey, an evil priestess and the mother of all tsunamis.

This workshop is limited to 18 people. Bookings essential.
