Children's Book Week Wrap up

Published on Tuesday, 4 September 2018 at 11:55:25 AM

We had a very busy Children's Book Week this year which started off with a visit to Kyilla Farmers Market for their book themed day on Saturday 18 August. We had a lot of fun meeting people in our community and talking about our library services.

During Book Week, our Children's Services Librarian Liz was running around local schools doing story time sessions dressed as Winnie the Witch:

Whilst her sidekick Robyn held down the fort at the library taking photos of all the kids dressed in their costumes:

This year we had almost 100 entries in our Children's Book Week competition! Congratulations to the following winners in our three different age categories:
- Early Childhood : Danielle
- Younger Readers : Leigh and Kira
- Older Readers : Florence and Joanna
We hope you all enjoy the books!

You can check out all the must-read children's books of 2018 from the Children's Book Council of Australia in our specially created pamphlet here.
