Human Library Book Café
Saturday 26th September 2026
The Human Library® is a global movement for social change, and is exactly what it sounds like, a library of people! In the Human Library®, our Books are real people from the community who have experienced prejudice, stigmatisation, or discrimination often due to their lifestyle, diagnosis, beliefs, disability, sexuality, or social status. At this event, Readers enter a safe and respectful space where they can "borrow" a Book, listen to their personal stories, and ask questions with the aim to challenge stereotypes, build understanding, and ultimately “unjudge” someone.
The event will be delivered across three 30-minute sessions throughout the morning. Readers are encouraged to book into a session and may borrow multiple Books during that time, subject to availability.
Session times on the day (no late entries):
- Session 1- 10:00-10:30am
- Session 2- 10:40am-11:10am
- Session 3 - 11:20-11:50pm
This event is only suitable for adults aged 18 and above. Content is not suitable for children.
