Internet

WiFi is free at City of Vincent Library on an open network. That means no password is required and anyone can join.

From your devices

You can join the City of Vincent Library via your own mobile or laptop. 

In order to connect, you'll need to:

  1. Go to your device’s Wi-Fi settings
  2. Select “City of Vincent Public WIFI”
  3. Tap “Get Online”.

Library computers

We have six public access computers available for use.

If you're already a member, you can "log in as a patron" using your library card.

If you're not a member, you can request a free guest pass from our Service Desk.

Please note that our computer terminals can only be accessed until 15 minutes before closing time. View our Online Services Terms and Conditions before accessing our computers.

Daily usage limits

  • Library Members: 90 minutes per day
  • Library Guests: 60 minutes per day

You can request extra time at the Service Desk.

Use of the public access computers and free public Wi-Fi is in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.

Printing & Photocopying

From Library computer

You can print directly using one of our computers.

  1. Connect to one of our computers using your Library Card.
    If you don't have a Library Card, you can ask for a free guest pass from the Service Desk.
  2. Open up your document.
  3. Send the document to the printer.

Please note that the public computers automatically switch off 15 minutes before closing time.

From your laptop or mobile device

You can print directly from your laptop using PrinterOn Portal. Follow the instructions below:

  1. Visit our Printing Portal.
  2. Enter the Printer ID: 110134.
  3. Upload your documents and adjust your settings.
  4. Go to the library’s self-serve print release station.
  5. Enter your email address.
  6. Pay the fees. The self-serve station is cash only. To pay with EFTPOS, please come to the service desk.
  7. Collect your prints.

To access the library’s free WiFi, select ‘FreeVincentWiFi’ in your device’s WiFi network search. When you’re online, open your web browser, read the T&Cs and hit “Agree”.

Via email

You can email your print job from your own smartphone, tablet or laptop.

We recommend sending your printing approximately 15 - 20 minutes beforehand so that when you arrive at the library, it is available in the system to be printed. 

Based on the size and colour of your document, email it to the corresponding email address from the list below:

A4 Black and white - single sided 110134.bw.a4@ewprints.com

Once emailed, go to the Service Desk to arrange payment and the staff will release your print job from the queue.

NB: It can sometimes take approximately 15 - 20 minutes for the printing to be received by the system; please allow for this time.

Scan

Free

Scanning

You can use our printers to scan your documents for free. If using the printer to scan documents, you will need to bring a USB stick to store your scans.

If you would like to scan to your smart device, email or online drives you will need to use the scanner document station.

  • To scan to your smart device, scan the QR code; by opening your camera and focusing on the QR code. Select the link once your phone has scanned the QR code.
  • To scan to your email, OneDrive or Google Drive, you will need to have your login and password details to scan your documents directly to these platforms.

Technology Training

Vincent Library aims to provide lasting, technology training to people of all ages.

If you are having trouble with digital technology, the library team may be able to provide some guidance or tips. Just ask one of the library team if they are available to help.

Some things that we can help you with include:

  • Sending an email
  • Accessing government websites
  • Completing an online form or induction. 

We also run a number of workshops to help improve your technology skills.
