National eSmart Week 2017

National eSmart Week is a time where communities come together to encourage everyone to be smart, safe and responsible when using digital technology. And guess what? The City of Vincent Library and Local History Centre has just achieved eSmart Status! Wait, what does that mean? It means we have completed implementing changes to our Library Terms and Conditions and created a brand new eSmart Behaviour Charter. Our staff are now more knowledgeable about cyber safety issues which means that we can better support you, our users! We’re celebrating by hosting a Facebook and Online Safety event on Wednesday 6 September at 10am with guest speaker Amanda Kendle. However, while we’ve got your attention, why don’t you check out these informative and entertaining videos:

Or get your kids (or yourselves!) to complete our eSmart Week Quiz!
