Show your love for the City of Vincent Library and receive a pardon on forgotten books and outstanding charges this month.

This February, the library is running an amnesty campaign to give all users a clean slate and encourage people back into the library.

Customers can write a Valentine to the library and receive a waiver of up to $50 per person on outstanding lost or damaged item charges.

Whether it’s a lost, damaged or forgotten book, customers can also return it without fear.

“Our campaign aims to reconnect people to the library through a fun and creative Valentines Day celebration,” said Mayor Alison Xamon.

“We would like to see more people, including those who may have mistakenly lost or haven’t returned books, coming along to our romance-themed library this month.

“I encourage you to search your shelves for overdue books, express your love for our services and visit our friendly staff with your forgotten items.”

There are 1,228 items missing or lost from the library, equalling $26,559 of charges.

The three-week campaign will run from 7 - 28 February 2025.
