The Bunbury Bridge, known to many as the ‘Bunno’ or Bunna’, was a wooden railway bridge across the river from the East Perth Power Station to the former Goodwood Dump and Racecourse, now Optus Stadium.

It was originally called the Swan Bridge and opened in 1893 for passenger and freight trains travelling to Bunbury on the South Western Railway.  The bridge was damaged by floods in the 1930s and rebuilt.  It stood until 1995 when it was replaced by the Goongoongup Bridge for trains going east on the Armadale line.

Many storytellers recall the thrill of jumping off the Bunno Bridge, or crossing the bridge to go to Goodwood Dump where some Aboriginal people foraged or camped.
