Accessibility services


The City of Vincent Library has a magnifier (CCTV) that is able to be used in the library.

It can be used for reading and writing, completing crosswords, and viewing photos.

There is an easy-to-use movable reading table and a 4K high-definition magnified viewing screen with multiple viewing options to enhance your item according to your needs.

Viewing options include:

  • Colour
  • Black-and-white
  • Enhanced high-contrast positive or negative viewing modes.

The catalogue can be enabled to accessibility mode.

To use this feature, click on the black and white round symbol with a person. This is located in the top navigation bar of the catalogue as shown in the below image.

  • 4 ACROD parking bays
  • Universal Access Toilet
  • Abridged book club sets
  • Audio Hearing Loop for people with hearing aids to connect to
  • Quiet times in the library on Wednesday's, 12.30 - 2.30pm and Friday's 3 - 5pm
  • Accessible reads and abridged books for those wanting to improve their reading skills 
  • Provision of City documents in alternative formats, including braille, subtitles and audio
