Baby massage is a gentle way for new dads and their bubs to connect and to enjoy all the benefits it has to offer. 

ABOUT JANE
I am an Infant Massage Instructor and a Nurse with a background in Midwifery and Child Health and have worked with families over many years in varied settings. I believe that by nurturing and supporting parents and encouraging then to trust their own intuitive ability to parent they are then better able to nurture and support their infants.

The workshop runs for an hour and will teach you basic techniques.

WHAT YOU NEED
A mat or towel for your baby to lie on
If you have been using an oil/lotion on your baby and would prefer to continue to use it bring it along.

WHAT IS PROVIDED
Organic sunflower oil for massage
Demonstration dolls – dolls will be available to practice on if your baby is asleep or not wanting to be massaged.
Stroke review handout.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The session is relaxed and you and your baby’s needs are a priority.
Strokes will be demonstrated on a doll and you will follow along on your baby.
Your baby’s needs come first so if they are crying, hungry or unsettled it is important that you do what you need to do to make them comfortable. There is plenty of time for the revision of information and time for practice. Mums are more then welcome to come into the group to breast feed.
