Arts in Vincent - oral history video project

Please join us for a very special screening of our Arts in Vincent oral history project

The Arts in Vincent project captures the stories of six people who are prominent in the Arts who are Vincent residents, or have grown up here.

The five minute video interviews include some local established artists as well as some younger success stories:

  • Jenny Davis OAM - actor and Agelink Theatre founder
  • Lorenna Grant - sculptural artist.
  • Michael Loney - actor
  • Jimmy Murphy - musician and Funk Club founder
  • Barry Strickland – writer, documentary film maker, consultant in the arts and festival founder
  • Briony Stewart - children’s author and illustrator, who grew up in North Perth.

Helena Cohen-Robertson, of Know Your Nation, was commissioned to create the five minute videos. All raw footage of the hour long interviews are part of the Local History Collection as well as full transcripts.

We hope you will join us, Helena and the interviewees for this very special screening to celebrate our vibrant local history and our talented local artists.

If the pilot is successful, further interviews will be conducted in 2018.
