Library Management System Upgrade

Our library system is getting an upgrade!

After nearly 20 years, we are replacing our Library Management System, with the new system going live on Thursday 22 November 2018. The new system will bring a host of benefits to Library staff and customers. While for the most part, business will continue as usual, the Library & Local History Centre will be closed from Monday 19 November to Wednesday 21 November (inclusive) for essential training and installation.

To facilitate this our system will be offline and will have reduced services from Friday 2 November to Sunday 18 November.

Items cannot be renewed or reserved online during this time. We will also be closed Monday 19 November to Wednesday 21 November, re-opening on Thursday 22 November.

Don’t worry, you will be allowed to borrow up to 24 items with an extended borrowing period of 6 weeks to cover this period and our eResources will be unaffected.

Good things are coming with the new system including:

  • An enhanced online catalogue, with access to an App to download on your mobile devices
  • Improved ability to manage your library account
  • Integration with our eResource collections
  • Greater reliability
  • The ability to create and save personalised lists of books, linked to your library membership
